Owner, Principal Designer

Kathy loves interior design!  As principle at Oviatt Design she focuses on each project with careful attention to detail, respect for classic style and commitment to lasting beauty.  She is known for her timeless design, love of architecture and art, traditional style & her elegant approach.  Her careful consideration of thoughtful design is always combined with dedication to her client's stories, their history, their dreams and how their space should feel.

Operations Director/Site Manager (and oldest daughter of Kathy’s)

Amberly is the Operations Director at Oviatt Interiors, overseeing business operations, project coordination, and resource management. She drives efficiency and profitability through disciplined workflows, budgeting oversight, and cross-team collaboration—ensuring designers can focus on creativity while projects are delivered on time and to the highest standard.

 Architectural Designer 

Derek joined Oviatt Design over 10 years ago, he is highly skills in visual elements and interior design. His first love is historical design and rendering. His love and dedication to creative detail and historical architecture led to his receiving an award from the American Institute of Architects Design Competition early in his career. 

Derek brings an educational background in CAD, merchandising, landscape and graphic design. His education is broadened by extensive experience in conducting visual presentations and detailing residences. Additionally, he has worked with Northern Utah’s Parade of Homes for several years. 

 Assistant Designer/Office Manager 

Emma is an Interior Design student at Weber State University and works as a Design Assistant, supporting projects from concept to completion. She has a genuine love for thoughtful, well-designed spaces and enjoys being part of the creative process from start to finish. With a detail-oriented mindset and a warm, collaborative approach, she values creating spaces that feel both beautiful and personal.
